Xander is walking the streets of Sunnydale.

ON MY OWN

XANDER
And now I’m all alone again
Nowhere to turn, no one to go to
Without Angel, there’s no boyfriend
Without his face to say hello to

Although the day is near
I still can make believe he’s here.

MORNING OF ANGUISH

KENNEDY
Here comes Giles, Buffy’s Watcher

FAITH
Now go and find your place.

GILES
I’ll fight along side Robin Wood.

ANGEL
But hurry now and race.

ANYA
Bringers are heading over there.

GILES
There’s much that I can do.

DAWN
You see that prisoner over there.

KENNEDY
He says that he hates you.

ROBIN
A spy, his name is Ethan Rayne.

SPIKE
He’s gonna get it, too.

ANYA
They’re getting ready to attack!

FAITH (handing Giles a sword)
Take this and use it well
But if they overpower you
We might all go to hell.

Bringers attack the group. Some of the Bringers are killed, others flee.

FIRST ATTACK

ANDREW
By god, we’ve won the day!

FAITH

Minions will attack again.

ETHAN

ETHAN

ETHAN
Giles, take care
I’m warning you.

GILES
Clear out of here.

ETHAN
Once Ripper, forever Ripper
You cannot pretend who you are.
You would feign being upright
Being proper and, well, uptight.
Kill me now, it’s all in vain

GILES

BUFFY, FAITH, SPIKE, and the POTENTIALS surround the seal to the Hellmouth. WILLOW and KENNEDY are in the principal’s office preparing for the spell. The others are split into three teams to prevent anyone from escaping: Group 1 - XANDER, DAWN and ANGEL; Group 2 - GILES and ROBIN; Group 3 - ANYA and ANDREW.

BLEED WITH ME

FAITH

RONA

AMANDA
Buffy, we’re outnumbered

BUFFY

WILLOW

KENNEDY
I have faith in you; you’ll make this spell jive
I know it will happen, just use your mind
I’ll be here, you must know, you’re fine.

ANYA
I’m so scared
How can this be?
Please do not

ANDREW
Think of happy thoughts
Lakes, candy canes
Perhaps bunnies.

ANYA
Bunnies? All will be slain.

THE BIG BATTLE

FAITH
Let us die, facing our foes
Make them dust. You know how.

SPIKE
I think the charm is working now.
I can feel my soul. Wow!

BUFFY

The battle begins. The fighting is intense. Willow casts her spell and makes all the potentials into Slayers. Kennedy takes the scythe to Buffy. Some Turok-han escape. Anya gets stabbed.


A LITTLE BIT OF PAIN

ANDREW
Anya, what’s wrong?
I saw you collapse over here.
Anya, you’re hurt
You need some help. Oh, God!
It’s everywhere.

ANYA
Don’t you fret, Andrew Wells,
I don’t feel any pain.
I know it sounds insane
Can hardly breathe some more.
You live, and now you must keep on
Wreak Vengeance in my name.
‘gainst evil go insane.
Don’t let them make their way through that door.

ANDREW
But you would live, Anya, you’re young and lean.
If you could heal yourself like Wolverine.

ANYA

ANDREW
You have lived hundreds of years
But it’s not enough
Your breathing’s become rough

ANYA
Leaving is not that tough
This fight will wash away my past

And you’ll fight on, you see.
I’ll watch you all from Heaven at last.

ANDREW gets up and continues fighting.
The fighting continues. ANGEL is attacked by five Turok-han at the same time. He is stabbed several times and his Achilles tendon is severed. There are more casualties among the Slayers. SPIKE’s charm brings sunlight to the Hellmouth, killing the Turok-han. The living fighters make their way upstairs and to the bus.

XANDER carries ANGEL after covering him with a blanket to protect him from the sun. As he’s holding ANGEL in his arms, he begins to sing
